My Story
As a working mother of twin girls, I know how difficult it can be to take the time to care for yourself. I also know how important it is to block off time and just commit to it. Stress wears you down not only on the inside, but on the outside as well.
In my past I have suffered from both adult hormonal acne and melasma. I'm a bit of a sun worshiper and haven't always been good about protecting my skin, so pre-mature aging has also been on my list of complaints. There have been so many times in my life where I would have done just about anything to feel beautiful without hiding behind makeup or photo shop.
I've come to realize that in our busy lives, time is precious and that is why I will be certain to make the most of it for you. Not only will you feel relaxed, pampered, and refreshed while receiving results driven treatments, but you will leave with a plan in place to get you feeling confident in your own skin.
My professional skincare journey started later in life than most. I started my career over and went to esthetician school at the age of 39. I believe that a combination of this as well as my passion for the subject and for people has driven me to excel and succeed.
I was the first person in my school to become officially licensed prior to graduation. I take pride in my practice and am constantly researching new trends, products, and treatments in the industry. The bottom line? I care. I want nothing but the best for all of my clients and I strive to effectively communicate the best options to get each individual to reach their skin goals.
Many estheticians offer either a relaxing experience with little result or a high end result driven treatment in an environment similar to a doctor's visit. I see myself as fulfilling a different role as an esthetician as I provide results driven, med spa treatments in a relaxing and soothing environment. I do both because both are important.
I truly view my relationship with clients not just as me providing a service, but as a team on a journey. To get to the end goal it takes work from both of us. I always follow up with my clients to check in on their skin and open the door to answer any questions. Communication is so important and I make sure my clients know they can reach out to me at any time.
When I'm not at the salon or texting clients, you can typically find me unwinding in a hot bath, eating soup year round, or enjoying summertime on the water. It can be a lake, river, ocean or pool. That's my happy place. Remember me mentioning that I was a sun worshiper? I still am, but have learned how to be skin savvy about it. I even have my own sunscreen line to help keep both myself and my clients protected.
At the end of the day, I truly love what I do and consider it a huge blessing.
